Important Websites (more to come)

https://www.reflexmath.com/

Username: dsiegel

Password: student

Students are expected to go on reflexmath.com for 20 minutes on Mondays and Wednesdays.  If these days are impossible to fit your student's busy after-school schedule please contact me as soon as possible so we can set up an alternative schedule.  I cannot stress enough how important it is for your student to master their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts this year.  Mastering these skills as soon as possible will give them an outstanding advantage this year in math, and for years to come.  Parents, please make sure your child is going on this website twice a week for 20 minutes. Consistency is key!

http://classroom.google.com

This website will not be used until all students have updated their username and passwords, which should be done be the end of September.  My google classroom page will be used for students only.  They will be able to access this website by logging on to their school email accounts.  If you search "google classroom" in google and click on the first link, my classroom page will come up.  They may also type: "classroom.google.com" in the URL after they have logging on to their student account.  On my google classroom page there will be homework assignments, instructional videos, and much more!

https://www.kidsa-z.com/

Teacher Username: dsiegel1

Students should be familiar with using the raz-kids website.  Once they type in "dsiegel1" for the teacher's username, they need to find their name and click on it.  There you will find interactive books to read on your student's reading level.

http://www.remind.com

I will explain this unique form of communication in-depth during back-to-school night.  In short, it is a way for me to send reminders to parents about important events happening at Nixon.  You can receive these reminders in the form of text messages, emails, or both!  You can even comment on my reminders or send me a direct message that only you and I can see.  Signing up is free and easy!
